Prayers that are Full of Faith!
We pray every day, but is it worth the time we spend on it?
It is if you are praying a prayer of faith! I mean, you can recite the prayers of other people over and over but if it is not really real to you then its no more full of faith than someone who attends church because they think its the right thing to do but pays no attention to the sermons.
Ouch? Yes, there are people who think they are saved because they attend church, or because thier parents raised them to attend church, and so on. They have not yet made an authentic connection. They may even know the words that are said, and still not made the actual connection, what some call a posture of faith. Do you know what I mean?
Just because you call yourself a Christian, does not make you one. We need to study the Word and be sure of what we believe. Its not the belief that we are a Christian that at stake but the belief that Jesus is the Son of God who came to earth to bring Salvation through the connection of his heart to yours in real time. That you have begun the walk of following the scriptures is a big step! Praying, another big step! Keep it up and stay connected! Know what you know that you know and add to it! (See1Peter 1:5-7)
On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Matthew 7:22-24
Jesus is the solid rock on which we need to have our foundation built. You should know that He is the Rock of our Salvation, and with that we are able to truly know Him between His Word, and prayer. I want you to know that the enemy, which can be the devil, his cronies, or anyone who is against Christ, or things that come from the Word, is hoping you wont accept the truth and invite Christ into your life by admitting that you believe in Him as Jesus Christ the Lord. What can we do about it? We can fight with the Word of God, in Prayer!
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. Ephesians 6:12-14
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.” Matthew 21:21-23
We all want to be known by God, and to know Him is the cry of our hearts, hopefully. So, let's keep studying the Word, and pray daily at least, and be prepared for the battle with the Armor of God. Check out the Ephesians 6 chapter and learn more about being prepared this way!
Remember to pray a prayer of faith, believing and trusting that God is hearing you. Remember that if you doubt the answer will come you are not praying a prayer of faith. You have to trust God to reply as He said He would.
Heavenly Father, thank you that we can humbly come before you and that if we study we an show ourselves approved by You, we can rightly divide the Word in Truth. We thank you that you gave us a little bit of faith to believe and that You did not stop there but teach us how to grow our faith, and add to our faith, In Jesus' name....
