Dailies ~ In His Word
May 29, 2019
Are you building up or tearing down with your words?

It’s easy to get caught-up in the words of the world today; people use slang words for the majority of their speech and they have no clue.
We have changed the meanings of words so much that it’s sometimes hard to remember what it actually means when we repeat someone else’s words. That is one reason we need to remember that the Holy Spirit is with us to be a Helper.
Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for edifying as the need may be, that it may give grace to them that hear.  And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice: Ephesians 4:29-31
This section of scripture is focused on not grieving the Holy Spirit because He is with us always. When we do things, or say things out of bitterness or anger then we hurt others, in doing so we hurt the Holy Spirit as well.  You know that feeling you get when someone crushes your dreams, or criticizes something you thing is really great?  Multiply that and you will know what God feels on a day to day basis because we, even us Christians, do not know how to talk to other people. We tend to follow what is the ‘word of the times’ and sometimes that means calling what is bad, good and good bad. If you have studied the Bible you know that is not what God wants. He wants us to say yes, and no, not bring in some other way to say it. He wants us to be kind to one another, to speak with encouragement and kindness to one another even if we disagree with what they are doing or have done. It is possible to encourage others to live a right life without being rude after all.

Let’s make that our focus today! Let’s speak with kindness and encouragement to everyone we communicate with today!

Heavenly Father, temper our mouths that we would not grieve You but instead that we would bring you joy, and those in whom we speak with today, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Dailies~ In His Word

Dailies ~in His Word
March 2019

This morning an old chorus came up in my memory and I found myself singing it …
When I look into your Holiness, when I gaze into your loveliness, all things that surround become shadowed in the light of you….
At least this is how I recalled the words. If you have heard it in your past years at church you are probably breaking into worship at least in your mind if not in sound.
True worship is not just in voice audibly but in the voice of the heart!
Whether we are singing, speaking out or planting flowers that bring joy to others and ourselves we can do these things with an attitude of worshiping the creator of all things! True worship is worshiping Him in spirit and in truth. Honest to goodness loving on God in word, or deed!
I thank God that He does not care if I can sing like an angel but that He can hear my heart worship Him in song.
You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, ad those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. John 4:22-24
Also we can show our worship by walking in faith, because when we have faith and we show it, by the things that we do then it can also show that we worship our God. How? By doing things we know that we could not do alone, but with Him, through faith we an do it; we then have reason to praise Him and doing His work is an at of worship. Feeding the hungry, praying for the sick or lost. These are acts of worship! Living our lives for Him, that is an act of worship.
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,... James 2:14-15
Heavenly Father, help us to worship you in truth today, sharing your Word with others and honoring You with our praises. In Jesus  name, amen,
Teresa M. Wilson
