His Word for You- In His Word 6-4-2024
Sometimes we forget that God has a Word for us today! His Word tells
us so many great things, He tells us to trust Him, (Proverbs 3) To fear not (Isaiah
41), He tells us we are His children, (Ephesians 5) and that He loves us, (John
3).
I would venture a little further to say that each day as you read
whatever scripture you read God has a Word for you because He and His Word says
that His Word will not come back void but will accomplish that which it was sent
to do. (Isaiah 55:11). It is a matter of us reading it with our eyes open, our
ears listening and our heart attuned to God via the Holy Spirit.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has
blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are
united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in
Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to
adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ.
This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So, we praise God
for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son He is
so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of
his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with
all wisdom and understanding. God has now revealed to us his mysterious will
regarding Christ—which is to fulfill his own good plan. And this is the plan: At the right time he
will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in
heaven and on earth. Ephesians 1:3-10
We should thank and praise Him for all these things! Then thank Him
for more, because He has given us so much to make the choices we need to make
in life the right ones. Our God is so patient, He watches us fight and quarrel over
things that do not matter in our world. What He wants is for His people,
Christians, Jews alike to be united in Christ. That means that via the Holy
Spirit we know that we have a kindred spirit who knows Jesus too! Someone whom
we can share all of our fears and hopes and dreams. Someone with whom we can
pray with, study with, question means of the scriptures with…that God has
brought together with us.
This is not just a spouse or loved one in our family but fellow
believers should unite with one another to enjoy good study and discussion
about the Word, but also about how God is using us to bring others to Him.
Furthermore, because we are
united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us
in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. God’s
purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring
praise and glory to God. And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the
Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified
you as his own[d] by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will
give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own
people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him. Ephesians 1:11-14
Since we have God’s Spirit we have the power to pray, encourage,
grant forgiveness, spread peace and the Gospel. The battles we fight belong to
the Lord, we just need to step back and allow Him to lead today.
If we are not in a battle we will be eventually, the enemy is hot on our
tails! He will fight us with whatever weaknesses we show off. We do this when
we allow complaining, or even allowing our spirit strength to waiver by not
reading the Bible every day. Every chance we get we should be thanking Him,
asking Him for guidance and sending God our Love in return for all He does for
us.
