Who are you? In His Word 5-20-2024
Sometimes I sit and wonder; who am I to think I can share the Word with
others and help them draw nearer in the Word of God? In one such moment I wrote
the following bits of poetry amongst the scriptures, and I hope they inspire
you today to see who God has chosen you to be. One day a few years ago when my
children were all grown and off to College or life, I have to tell you that I
home schooled my children for 18 years of my life; I asked God what even do I
do now? He brought me to the concordance
of my Bible. He told me; “Write”. Now as
I continue writing a weekly, sometimes daily blog and have a few books under my
belt… I still wonder at times. “Who am I to think I can write?”
Have you ever stopped and wondered,
Who am I Lord? Who am I?
Have you stopped to even ask Him?
Who am I Lord who am I?
I can tell you if you ask me,
Cause it’s written in His Word
You’re the child of the loving Father,
He has called you,
Have you heard?
He has whispered by His Spirit,
He has given you the Way.
If you’re quiet and you listen,
You will hear His voice today.
He came to his own people, and even they
rejected him. But to all who believed
him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are
reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a
birth that comes from God. John 1:11-13
As you read what I have written, you
will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ. God did not reveal it to previous generations,
but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets. And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews
who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s
children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of
blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. By God’s grace and mighty power,
I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.
Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the
privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them
in Christ. I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God,
the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning. Ephesians 3:5-9
Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless. Philippians 2:14-16
Trust the Lord, the Holy Spirit
As you walk and read His Word
He will teach you,
He will give you.
Words to hold, and what to say.
Run the race and share the promise!
That He’ll never leave you be,
He will ever just be near you.
Just like He is near to me.
God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so
that he could adopt us as his very own children. And because we are his
children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to
call out, “Abba, Father.” Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child.
And since you are his child, God has made you His heir. Galatians 4:5-7
Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
“I will never fail you. I will never
abandon you.” So, we can say with confidence,” The Lord is my helper, so I will
have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” Hebrews 2:5-6
Today as you read the Word, seek Him to find the message
He has for you. You are not alone in life. You are a called, chosen, child of
God and He has a special plan for you, yes you!
I trust you will seek Him and find Him, as you find yourself,
In His Word.
