31 Days of Prayer In His Word 1-19-2024
Do you wonder why we start our day in prayer? There is a
verse and the psalmist spoke of the morning of when he would pray to the Lord.
My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord in the
morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up. Psalm 5:3
This has been made into a song as well a few times I am
sure but so are most of the Psalms of heart sounds! I believe that God planned
them to be songs that sing our love to Him.
When we pray we speak our love to Him, we make our
requests be known to Him, and we look up to His presence. We often bow our
heads in reverence to the King of Kings as well. The main thing to remember is
to focus on the gratitude before the needs and desires. Our Lord is ready and
able to respond but we need to give Him the glory and honor and praise that is
His to receive.
Heavenly Father, we give you thanks and praise for all
that you have done for us. We thank you also for that which you will do both in
word and deed to answer our prayers today, guide our thoughts and our hearts as
we lift them up to you, in Jesus’ name…
