Day 31 Advent count down and beyond! In His Word 12-31-2023
It is here! We have made it to the last day of the year
2023.
Take a few moments today
to assess your past 364 days, count your blessings, consider your
failures but look to God and thank Him that He has brought you through it with a new outlook. If
it was horrible this year then consider the new year a clean slate to start
again. If it was fantastic, look ahead to even more great things, but also
prepare for anything that could be of setting. Either way the next month is a
big month for motivation and encouragement by many people and sources of media.
We hear a lot about diets, exercise, eating right, planning to be a better
person, but I want us all to start our new year with three choices to be on top
of our list ,in our planners or minds.
Pray to God.
Read God’s Word
Praise God for all He has done and will do and all He has
brought us through!
After that anything you put on your list will be acceptable
to the Lord because the Holy Spirit will guide you.
I will thank the Lord because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the Lord
Most High. Psalm 7:17
Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I
will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never
forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my
diseases. Psalm 103:1-3
Tonight, as the year changes I want to gather together with
my family, and friends, and pray in the new year. Some people will take communion
at midnight, some will shout. Through the years we have done many things. I
used to take my kids and their friends
on a three thing then home again kind of adventure that brought them back to
our house safe and sound before midnight. Now that they are grown adults I can only
pray that they start the new year right with prayer and then--- whatever they
choose I pray that they will rejoice in God their savior each new year that He
gives them to walk the earth and share the love of God and His story. Why not
join in both online or in your homes, wherever you are, take the time to pray
and praise God for the year to come! In
Jesus’ name and In His love, Happy New Year!
