Day 3 -Daily Advent Countdown-In His Word 12-3-2023
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the
government will be upon His shoulder, and His name will be called Wonderful,
Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 6:9
He has good things for you!
In His Word, your Bible is full of good things!
Today I was singing that song with those words, and then
went to church to find they had it on the list for today! I love it when God does that!
For there is born to you this day in the city of David a
Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will
find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:11-12
Just one good thing we can read about in the Bible is that
Jesus was born. If you can call it a ‘just’, because it was a game changer the
day He was born to us. He was both God and man, and it had never been done!
Life changed from that day forth because we knew that God knew what it was like
to be human.
He knew pain, beyond what most of us feel. He knew hunger, taste,
enjoyment, and sorrow, sadness, and frustration at things not going how they
should. Never can we ever say that God can not relate when we need to see a
better life. I strongly believe that good things will come even out of devastation.
We just have to look for it and wait on Him to bring us through the muck and
mire and show us the beauty that is before us. It may be here on earth, or it
may be in the ‘afterlife’, but He has good things for us today!
