Day 20 ~ Advent Countdown-In His Word 12-20-2023
Are things getting out of control today? Kids, work, life in general sometimes seems to move along is without us planning out our days and getting things done, well that’s another thing that is a stretch! Have peace today! Choose Joy! Accept the things as they come.
And this is
God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in
the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and
both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. By
God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by
spreading this Good News. Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people,
he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless
treasures available to them in Christ. I
was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of
all things, had kept secret from the beginning. Ephesians 3:6-9
We worry, though we should not, that we wont get it all done,
life just gets busier and busier and though our planners say certain things are
for today we know there is catch up from three days ago to still get done so we
tack it on today. We wonder why it is so hard to get things done but then
someone in our path that would not have been if we had done the late project
when we did is either a blessing or someone we get to bless. I was blessed the
other day while waiting in line at a store. I was worn out from shopping in the
huge store but someone else was in a big hurry to get back to work. Two of us
in line called out to her and told her to get in front of us. The thing is once
she got to the front of the line she had to leave to get back to work. Holiday shopping
can be rough when you try to do it between schedules at work. While in line I
realized a bigger picture of myself and my life’s journey as seen through
someone elses eyes. Sometimes we do not realize that God has a plan until
someone else mentions it to us. Paul shares in Ephesians 3 about how God chose
Him regardless of the wreck he was becoming prior to the road to Damascus. He
was blessed with the opportunity to share good news, the Good News of Christ
our Lord. When we get the opportunity to do good for someone, even if it was
not in our plans we have to remember it is in His plans. Follow through with
that plan. Speak, share do what is put in front of you. Bless others today even
in your weakness for when we are weak He is strong! In His Love, and In Jesus’
name.
