Day 19 ~ Advent Countdown-In His Word 12-19-2023
Okay, so you have just about everything ready, food, folks,
and fun planned. Now its time to plow through the days ahead and meet every
need, desire and focus on Jesus! How on earth can we get it all done? There are
work parties, church parties, church services, and stores to head to for that
last minute thing. Sounds exhausting?
When we wear ourselves out physically and emotionally then
we can easily become weak in our spiritual walk. There is something we need to
do before all of this running around we do in the next week or so; get prepped
and ready!
Prepare our hearts and mind in the Word, and put on that
full armor of God so that we can stand firm in any situation or weak moment!
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put
on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s
schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the
rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and
against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on
the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to
stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Ephesians 6:10-13
The enemy wants to trip us up and make us get angry or
frustrated or even full of depression, but God wants us to celebrate Jesus’
birth! He wants us to spread the love of God with others, even in our own
family! Yes I know that sounds odd, but it is where the hardest trials on
holidays come from. People on the outside of our family see the person we strive
to be, but our families see who we realy are! God is so good! He sees us how He
knows we will be and when we are focused on Him and His Word we will see
everyone through His eyes, and In His Love.
