Day 14 ~ Advent Countdown-In His Word 12-10-2023
Let’s face it, there is nothing we can do to save ourselves.
There is not really anything we can do to ‘get someone saved’ or “lead them to
Christ’. What we can do is share how we found, or accepted the Truth into our
lives and believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to save us.
We can tell them of Jesus’ love being so great that He
endured much pain and death to wash our sins away. To give us a door to heaven
and eternal life, He died. He did it, just like it says in the Word.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and
this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ
Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians
2:8-10
When we are getting things ready for the big day that
friends and relatives come to our homes, or we go to theirs and we get things
ready… think about how many years and how much detail God put into our salvation
story. When I dreamed of Jesus in my back yard it was only part of the details
that God planned to get me to realize at just the right time that He loved me
so much.

with others the wonderful story that took you from the life you had to the
cross to the eternal security in Christ!
