You’ve been schooled! In His Word 2-20-23
We have been taught how to live in the Bible. God has shown us what to do and wh
at not to do. It is really amazing how much we know. The best thing is how the Word comes back to us to accomplish what God planned with it.
There is a scripture that says, “I can do all things through
Christ who gives me strength”(Philippians 4:13) The other day when I was hiking
with my husband I had a blast going up the mountain! The thing is once we get
to the top or the point we are hiking to we rejoice and it feels good but then…
we have to hike back down. Going down is harder than hiking up because you are
worn out a bit, and in my case I reached a point that my hiking sticks were
really holding me up! I had stopped to break before heading the rest of the way
down and the above scripture came to me as I prayed to God to give me strength
He gave me a song, then another, then another and before I realized it there
was our car at the bottom of the trail! He taught me in His Word to call on the
Lord when I am weak, and He will help me be strong!
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.2 Corinthians 12:9-11
See, even now I see that we have been taught!
You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and
they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting
in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is
inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize
what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to
do what is right. God uses it to prepare
and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:15-17
So now that we know we have been taught what is good and
right, then what do we do with this great knowledge?
Come, let us
announce in Jerusalem everything the Lord our God has done. Sharpen the arrows!
Lift up the shields! For the Lord has inspired the kings of the Medes to march
against Babylon and destroy her. This is his vengeance against those who
desecrated his Temple. Raise the battle flag against Babylon! Reinforce the
guard and station the watchmen. Prepare an ambush, for the Lord will fulfill
all his plans against Babylon. Jeremiah 51:10-12
Having carefully investigated everything from the beginning,
I also have decided to write an accurate account for you, most honorable
Theophilus, 4 so you can be certain of the truth of everything you were taught.
Luke 1:3-4
Once we study to show ourselves approve by God we need to
share it with someone! With everyone around us realy but Jesus said to go and
tell the world in Mark 16:15 and that is the reason for all that we have
learned. The best way to do that is to share what God has done for you today.
Count your blessings, and then teach them to someone else!
