A reason to pray - A Time of Thanks Giving
One more reason to pray, in fact I would say one of the best reasons; is
to give thanks with a grateful heart. Sometimes we do not remember the reasons
we have what we have. Some days we are feeling more ungrateful than grateful.
Sometimes reading a Psalm like the following one helps me to find a reason to
rejoice and be grateful and full of thanks giving to God.
What is ‘gratefulness?
Gratefulness is defined as an appreciation of, or for benefits received.
We can show our gratefulness by expressing our gratitude in word or deed. One
way to express our gratitude to God this is by speaking our thanks to Him,
another is to sing our praises to Him.
Psalm 100
A psalm of thanksgiving.
Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!
Worship the Lord with gladness.
Come before him, singing with joy.
Acknowledge
that the Lord is God!
He made us,
and we are his.
We are his
people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his
gates with thanksgiving;
go into his
courts with praise.
Give thanks
to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good.
His unfailing
love continues forever,
and his faithfulness
continues to each generation
Today
you did as before, you picked up your book and read the scripture, now pray the
prayer of thanks giving and continue on with glorifying, and speaking praises
to Him for all that He has done. Maybe even sing out your praises as you
continue your day, sing praises to Jesus. Sing out your Praise to His name.
Thank
God for the faithful people He has put in your life today. Next write down or
speak out loud your thanks for the other people in your life. Even thank him
for those who are there to keep you on your toes, the ones who give you a hard
day at work, or wherever. Those are the people who make life more interesting.
The people who make you think twice what you will say or work harder because
they may say something to you about the job you did: thank God for them as you
go about your day.
Good
Morning Lord…

PRAYER IS TO FEEL THAT WE ARE PUTING OUR SUPPLICATIONS INTO THE BOSOM OF OMNIPOTENT
LOVE.” --Andrew Murray
