Advent 2021 Day 2

 

Advent 2021 Day 2-December 2,2021 

Build upon the grace God has given you. 1 Corinthians 3:10 

Take this gift and share it with another. Take someone to coffee at your local shop and share something good about Jesus while you are there. There are many things you can do and enjoy both spending time with a friend as well as sharing stories  about what God has done in your life which others around you will hear! 

When I was not yet a believer I worked in a mall.  A local church youth group had come to the mall to share about Jesus with a Missionary from Africa . I am not sure where in Africa but that was what I heard. He spoke with other people around me while I worked fixing hotdogs and fruit drinks at my local Orange Julius. I listened to him talk about Jesus but did not really understand. Still, somehow it got me interested in finding out more. When he left each of us a trak, ( A small booklet teaching Bible truths in comic form.) my coworkers all left thiers on the counter, as I was cleaning up I gathered them all and went back to put them in my coat so I could read them all later. I learned a lot from someone sharing Jesus aloud! I eventually accepted Christ and I believe this had a great deal to do with my choice to do so. Sometimes when we share at this time of year people listen more because they are mesmerized by the Christmas Season. Some call it magic of Christmas but I believe that Holy Spirit sees the open eyes and listening ears at this time of year and  helps them to understand. 

 For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building. Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ.1 Corinthians 3:9-10
