What do you see?  In His Word 8- 17-2020

We have a purpose, to be drawn into His presence as His people. When we are drawn into His presence then we will be able to complete the plan He has by sharing that Godly glory with others.

Paul was contemplating the purpose of God’s plan that he himself showed him. He revealed it to Paul as something that he was to share with others. Now what came to a surprise to Saul as he became Paul the servant of Jesus, the believer, is that not just the Jews were to know this purpose but also the Gentiles. We non-Jewish people are the Gentiles. God reveals in Ephesians 3 that the purpose of serving Him is the privilege of serving Him by sharing the Gospel, the love of God with others. Not everyone realizes this right away, even believers do not realize right away that they are to share the good news, the Gospel with those who come into their lives. Now not all those people will receive the truth that Jesus came to save those who believe but many will. Our purpose and call is to do what it says in Matthew 28 and go to all the world.

As I briefly wrote earlier, God himself revealed his mysterious plan to me. As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ .God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets. And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ. I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning.

God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.  This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. So please don’t lose heart because of my trials here. I am suffering for you, so you should feel honored. Ephesians 3:1-13

His purpose is for us to show others what a great grace providing, love giving, hope granting, living God our God is that they may believe.

His plan is for us to be able to dwell in the Holy of Holies, within the veil that was rent when Jesus was crucified for the redemption of sin.

In the Old Testament the Tabernacle and even the Temple. would have a place that only the high priest could go, in the place of Moses, they would walk into the Holy of Holies and literally be within the veil, also like Moses. They would be in the presence of God.

When Moses finished speaking with them, he covered his face with a veil. But whenever he went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with the Lord, he would remove the veil until he came out again. Then he would give the people whatever instructions the Lord had given him, and the people of Israel would see the radiant glow of his face. So, he would put the veil over his face until he returned to speak with the Lord. Exodus 34:33-35

It was evident that Moses had been face to face with God the Father when he went into the Holy of Holies to speak with Him. When we are in His presence, we too shine with God’s glory so all can see and know that He is, and that He is God.

When we meet with God in prayer we are now within that veil. We can speak with Him and to listen for His still small voice. We can know what He is directing us to do when we sit in His presence or kneel in His presence.

We do have to remember to humble ourselves in His presence in prayer, and when we do that, we will receive healing, hope, and life eternal. He will remove any damaged inner pains; inner sadness and He will bring us joy unspeakable and full of the glory of God.  He will meet us there. In His presence, in the Holy of Holies.

There was a chorus we used to sing back in the day; within the veil, I now would come, into Your Holy Place, to look upon Your face, I see such beauty there, none other can compare, I worship You my Lord, within the veil.

Spend time today, this week, this month, within the veil, seeking God’s face, and waiting just like Moses, for an answer to what you seek.

Heavenly Father we come to You within the veil of protection for the world, if they see us after we have been in Your presence they may not understand the glory on our faces, but Lord You can work through this for Your Glory, and bring them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ today. Draw us to You Lord, draw us closer. In Jesus’ name, amen.
