What are you hiding? In His Word 4-6-2020

What are you hiding? In His Word 4-6-2020
People are hiding the fact that the are hoarding toilet paper today, and tomorrow it will be something else.

What are you hiding from God?  Are you secretly complaining when you think no one can hear? God hears. Are you carrying around worry and thinking you have it ‘in control’? God wants the controls.
He wants you and I to get rid of it like it was a snake! Throw it off!

Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Ephesians 4:21-23

So, if you worry because you read too many bad news reports; get rid of the news reports!
If you complain because things are not as you want them to be change it! Make a new plan or make the plan new!

Sometimes I find a million things to complain about but when I start to complain there is no one around and I am the only one who hears me right? Wrong! God is right there with me and after all I am complaining to Him really that things didn’t go the way I wanted, the laundry didn’t dry right and smells, or the dishes didn’t get started and so they need to be started when I need them to be clean!
I decided one day to just change the way I did things!  The things I cannot change, I need to accept them, right? I have heard that taught so many times in recovery Bible studies at our church and so it resonates with me even though the only thing I am recovering from is life itself! We all have something to recover from! I cannot do it by myself though, I have to ask God for help to get rid of the things that hinder me. My old sinful nature does not always just fall off, you know. Complaining used to not be a way of life, but I hung out with someone who complained a ton, so I picked it up. Not that that’s an excuse but we really do pick up traits from people we hang with. Sometimes we think our little sin is so small that God shouldn’t have to deal with it. The Bible says to those who know to do good and do not it is sin. So, if I know I should let go of my worries and I do not, then I am sinning. If I need to let, go of the things that I worry about and I do not it is like handing God a backpack full of my troubles but not letting go of the handle. He can’t do much with that until I let go!
Are you worried about how things will work out once you get back to work? Let go and let God take care of it!
Are you worried about how your kids will survive this strange transition into their school year?
Let go of it and let God work it out!
He’s got this!
So many of us are watching people go through struggles in this time of being shut out of other people's lives and not sure what to do so we worry about it. Let’s try what my son suggested, and what he is doing; start a virtual Bible Study! Let’s study to see what we can do about encouraging one another! I love studying the Word of God and so sharing this with others will certainly put me in an up mood and keep me from complaining!
The thing with worry and complaining and most other things we do that we should not, the more of the Word that we put in our minds the less we will think about doing what we should not do.
In this Blog site there is a link to comment… make a comment if you would like to join the Bible Study and when I check them, I will send you the info to join us!
We can do this together with God! We can fight off the anxious moments and stressful times wondering what is next, and we can find out what the Word has to do with it!
Let’s look to God the maker of all things and see what we can find to give us not just peace but unity in this time that we are waiting in! Let’s give Him our little sins and thank Him today for taking them from us and making us whole!

Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant,
overlooking the sins of his special people? You will not stay angry with your people forever,
because you delight in showing unfailing love.
Micah 7:18
Heavenly Father, thank you for removing our foolish little sins and throwing them into the depths of the sea! Help us to let go of them and let You fill our hearts and minds with the Word, in Jesus’ name, amen.
