Dailies ~ In His Word 11-18-19

Dailies ~ In His Word
November 18, 2019

In a little over a week it will be Thanksgiving in the United States, where I live, and I have been thinking a lot lately of how thankful I am for the years spent growing up with my little sister Linda. We have had a close bond as sisters growing up with three brothers, we two ‘stuck together through wind and weather’ as I used to sing in a song when I was ten. I think it is a good example of how God sticks with us too!  No matter what we are going through today, this year, or ever really; He is ready to be our help in a time of need.
If for no other reason than that we know that He will be with us not matter what, we should be thankful for Jesus in our lives. There is so much more though, because not only did He love us, enough to give His lie for us but He is on our side! He is for us! And when God is for us then nothing can stand against us and we win! We have a mighty powerful Lord who will watch over us, keep us safe when we trust Him and allow Him to direct our paths. Let's walk worthy of the call of God on our lives today. Let's think on the Word of God after we read it and then find a way to put it to practice in our lives today.

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So, we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Hebrews 13:5-6

We can choose to walk in  faith, hope and love this day because He gives us faith, hope and love.
That is something to be thankful for.
Today, this week, every day… let us remember to thank God for all He is , does and will do and be!
Heavenly Father, we thank you for being, You. Thank you for being in our lives and helping us whenever we cry out to You for help, or loving us so much that You gave Your Son or our sins, and for guiding us on the path to righteousness. Help us to be worthy of our calling to serve You, In Jesus’ name, amen.
