Dailies ~ in His Word

To
day that we have lost our faith is something that constantly stumps me; we have
after all been given a measure of faith according to Romans 12. God has given
it to us, so if God has given to us anything can we actually loose it? I think
not.
… be not conformed to this
age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, for your proving what
[is] the will of God -- the good, and acceptable, and perfect. For I say, through the grace that was given me, to everyone who is among you, not to think above what it behooves to think; but to think so as to think wisely, as to each God did a measure of faith. (did give). Romans 12:2-4
The question is how
does one behave, or use the faith in which we have been dealt? Do we let it sit
and do nothing with it or do we add to it? Peter says we should add to it in
the scriptures below.
To those who
have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of
our God and Savior Jesus Christ:
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in
the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given ot us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped corruption that is in the world through lust. But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, to brotherly kindness, love. For if thee things are yours and abound, you will neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 1Peter:1-9
There was a reason we were given the faith; we
are to turn it into more. Not just more faith, but something more than that, we
are to be fruitful with it. Do the math! You add to it, and grow more like Jesus and
become fruitful and then you multiply the body of Christ by bringing more
people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!
I guess what we need to really ask is are we doing
the math?
Heavenly Father, help us to add to our faith, virtue,
knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, and brotherly kindness, and love. Then help
us to multiply Your kingdom and Your family in Jesus’ name, amen.
