Call
upon you, then, do I -- the prisoner of the Lord -- to walk worthily of the
calling with which ye were called, with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering forbearing one another in love, being
diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of the peace; one
body and one Spirit, according as also ye were called in one hope of your
calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one
God and Father of all, who [is] over all, and through all, and in you all,
and to each one of you was given the grace, according to the
measure of the gift of Christ,
Ephesians 4:1-7
Sometimes it feels like the calling that God is giving
you is overwhelmingly huge; there is no way you can do it, right? But God knows that and has a plan all figured
out. We are called to live worthy of the call He has placed on us but we also
are told that He is with us and in Isaiah 40:29 it say’s He gives power to the
faint; and to them that have not might He increases strength. This tells me
that God has it figured out for me, He will give me the strength, He will give
me the words to write or speak that will reach the people that He has made ready
for the words in the Word. Its not about us doing the calling, but about God
doing it through us. And if God is for us nothing can stand against us right?
So let’s stop doubting that God will come through for us, will give us strength,
will give us direction, and will guide our steps. He is here for us, to give us
the strength. It’s all about Him. Just follow the call of God on your life
today. Allow Him to show you the mighty things He has for you when you just walk
trusting Him with all your heart.
Heavenly Father, thank you for giving s strength,
direction and hope, help us to follow Your lead, in Jesus’ name, amen.
