Dailies ~ In His Word
November 13, 2019
Call to Jesus! The song is running in my head, and the
scripture comes up on the app. Jeremiah chapter 33 verse 3. Call to me and I will answer you and tell you
great and mighty things you do not know!
So, I take a moment to call
to Him. I think on the words I had read in Titus this morning.
This letter is from Paul, a slave of God and
an apostle of Jesus Christ. I have been sent to proclaim faith to[a] those God
has chosen and to teach them to know the truth that shows them how to live
godly lives. This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life,
which God—who does not lie—promised them before the world began. And now at
just the right time he has revealed this message, which we announce to everyone
Titus 1:1-3a.
In these two scriptures we
find a connection of truths! He teaches
us to live Godly lives and he wants us to grow closer to Him by the confidence
that He is here, He has made promises of eternal life, and now just at the right
time He will reveal something!
Our God has revealed so much in
His Word, our Bibles, He has spoken to my heart so many times and shown me how
to both tough out rough situations as well as how-to walk-in Joy Unspeakable,
and in peace that passes understanding. He has shown me how to live a righteous
life and how to do His will in it all. He even shows us how to get answers! We
call to Him!
But when you call to Him you
must believe and trust him with your whole heart that He will answer.
But from there you will
search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your
heart and soul, you will find him. “In the distant future, when you are
suffering all these things, you will finally return to the Lord your God and
listen to what he tells you. Deuteronomy 4:29-30
And he did evil, because he
did not prepare his heart to seek the Lord. 2 Chronicles 12:14
King Rehoboam did not seek
the Lord in his kingdom, it failed, he failed.
We need to prepare our hearts to seek God today so that we will not fail
God and man in all that we do. When we seek for Him with all our heart, we will
find Him. Then He will answer our desires, hopes, dreams, directions… just seek
Him today. Ask of Him and He will give
the nations as an inheritance for you but you have to seek, then ask, to
receive. In Jesus’ name!
Heavenly Father we seek your
face today, we ask that you show us the space of time we have to spend in Your
presence not begging for things, but seeking to hear your voice, your desire
for our purpose of walking right before you. Help us to prepare our hearts for
Your face. In Jesus’ name, amen.
