In His Word 10-21-19

 Dailies~ In His Word

October 2019

Hebrews 10 has so much to offer us that I could never write it all out in one day, let alone in one Dailies devotion. Over it all I have come to conclude that we need this chapter to proceed forward in our walk with Christ. Without it we will never really ‘get’ what Christ did for us.

For this chapter is a summation of salvation, of the real thing that happened via the Cross of Christ, and just what we need to receive and respond to, and live through with it.

No matter what version you read it in the redemption of our sins was final. He died to cleans our impurities once for good! We humans are so foolish and frail that some would fall back into the sins they were pulled out of. In our weakness though He is strong, loving and able to pull us back up when we but reach for Him.
Who does that? Who gives up everything so that we can be free of sorrows that would plague us, pain that would control us, both emotionally and physically He can help us to overcome things like this? Only God, via Jesus and the holy Spirit who stays with us each day.  For instance, with God I can rise up when I trip and fall physically, and though I feel it physically, my God will help me up if I let Him. I can go up a flight of stairs without allowing that pain to overtake me. It’s only pain. Is the though I kept thinking this past week. I have suffered worse, and so has my God. If He can go through the cross I can…. You can fill in the blanks for yourself!  Take out the trash on yourself! What have you been struggling with this week?
Some of us struggle with physical pain, some with emotional loneliness or un-fulfillment … I want us to realize that through faith in Christ we can overcome these human things and go on to live a fulfilling life! God will bring fulfillment, He will bring those alongside us to stop the loneliness surrounding us, and He can and will stop the pain.

This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, giving My laws on their hearts, and upon their minds I will write them,' and their sins and their lawlessness I will remember no more;' 'and where forgiveness of these (is) there is no more offering for sin.   Having, therefore, brethren, boldness for the entrance into the holy places, in the blood of Jesus,  which way he did initiate for us -- new and living, through the veil, that is, his flesh-- and a high priest over the house of God, may we draw near with a true heart, in full assurance o faith, having the hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having the boy bathed with pure water;  --  may we hold fast the unwavering profession of the hope, (for faithful [is] He who did promise)and may we consider one another to provoke to love and to good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as a custom o certain (is) but exhorting, ad so much more as you see the day coming nigh.  Hebrews 10:16-25
One version reads: Then He said “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds” And when sins are forgiven, there is no need to offer any more sacrifices. In verse 17. Never again, never… again.  So, if God has forgotten our sins, why then do so many people dredge them back up? When then do so many people worry that they are still sinners not saved by grace?
The enemy has a heyday with us over this! If we are in Christ, which means a believer in what He did, accepting that He died or us and for the purpose of blotting out our sins, wiping them off the face of the earth and making it possible for us to communicate directly with Him constantly if need be; then we are free from sin forever. We should have no reason to look back to the old us, to the old way of thinking and to the things we thought were ‘okay’ to do but really knew it was wrong. The old us is no longer a thing in God’s eyes, He sees us as new creations. We are fresh and new persons who love Him and a pure in His sight.
He is faithful.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:19-22
There is no longer any reason to be cleansed as He has washed us clean. There is no reason to walk around feeling sad about how our consequences have turned out, He has made a way to change them!

In verse 19 it says that we are called to persevere, not to stop moving forward worrying about what we went through or what might have been but pushing forward to what will be! We can now boldly go before God with our petitions without a mediator other than Christ Himself! We can go within the veil, as Moses and the priests could only do because Christ ripped it in two so that we too could be technically ‘in His face’!
There is nothing we could do on our own to make things right with God, but God Himself made us right, that we could communicate with Him face to face. We can receive His redemption, His hope for our future, for healing, for life not painful in emotions or fears, Our God took it away long ago we just sometimes have to walk through things remembering that He has already removed it from our live story.
With Physical pain, for instance we know it is for a time and then it will be gone. Other issues in life sometimes will try to plague us with thier symptoms, but God has already overcome those things! We need to push through to the other side of the pain, the sorrow, the lack of finances, the lack of a life the way we want it to be. The hardest part is to trust God and wait for it.
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think o ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together as some people do but encourage one another especially now that the day o his return is drawing near. Hebrews 23-25
This chapter in a nutshell is trying to tell us so much, but the one thing I want us to remember today is do not give up, do not give in (that’s two) and do not let satan steel your joy, your peace or your hope today!
Just for today, just for this week, remember that God is with you, even in your depression, in your pain and in your despair. He will not leave you there alone, but will reach out His hand to pull you out… I you just take hold of the hope He is putting before you today. Look for it as you meditate on His Word today. He longs for you, for me, for us all to see what His life was given for. He does not wish us to sit where we are but to progress closer to Him today. Make the choice to step forward, to not listen to your own thoughts, but to seek God and read the Word of God to find hope. Then make the choice to have that hope each moment you feel the pain, the depression the feelings of uselessness: remember God created you with a purpose and He will not stop until He has accomplished that! No matter how old you are! Keep going forward! You will reach the end of the struggle you are walking through, no matter how long it takes He won’t leave you in it alone. He’s got this! Just trust Him, no matter how hard the walk is keep going the peace, hope, and joy with our endurance, it will come.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that You made a way for us to be free even in the midst of our trials and struggles. Help us to reach out and take that hand You offer us in whose ever form it is in; and to stop struggling against you as we walk in Your path for us today. Remind us we are not alone.
 In Jesus’ name, amen.
