(Almost
) Dailies ~In His Word

Brethren, I do not count myself to have
apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching
forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the
goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, let
us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think
otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Philippians 3:13-15
Yesterday I took a day trip with my youngest adult son, it was
long but it was efficient as he completed a task that he had been waiting a
long time for. Sometimes life is like that, you have to wait to achieve something
you know is rightfully yours. It’s not always easy to get things done in life.
Sometimes we have to get thrown in a pit, sold as a slave, turned into a servant,
and tossed in prison before we get to shine and save the people from
starvation! Joseph went through a lot and made it to his dream from God, eventually.
Genesis 37-39. I think that God has that
story in the Bible so that we can see that we just need to keep our eyes on the
prize. To keep on believing for that promise to come true!
Moses got to see the promised land before he died, you can read about
him in Exodus 3-4, Nicodemus saw the Messiah before he died and that was
something worth waiting for! John chapter 3 tells of his story.
Let’s not lose track of what we are heading towards; the prize of
eternal salvation and bringing as many people with us as we can! Let us focus
on the promises that God has given us and follow in His path that is laid out
before us. Then we can obtain the prize the things that He has for us, and the
people in our lives are all part of the process; keep moving forward! He’s got
even this trial you are in all figured out, don’t give up, just give it up to
Jesus!
Heavenly Father thank you for pushing forward that we may follow
in your path that is before us. Give us the strength to continue until we reach
the destination You have programed for us to get to. In Jesus’ name, amen.
