Dailies ~ in His Word
September 2019
In the world even in the church world there are people who will try to
stir up the pot so to speak and cause topics and annoyances to boil up. They
spread confusion and speak poorly of one another to the point that they are
sowing discord among the brothers and sisters of Christ!
We need to be careful of what we know, what we hear, and what we speak;
we know the truth so be certain it lines up or do not speak it.
This false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through
the whole batch of dough! I am trusting the Lord to keep you from
believing false teachings. God will judge that person, whoever he is, who has
been confusing you. Dear brothers
and sisters, if I were still preaching that you must be circumcised—as some say
I do—why am I still being persecuted? If I were no longer preaching salvation
through the cross of Christ, no one would be offended. Galatians 5:9-11
We also must be cautious that we are living a life that is exemplary in
God’s eyes that we may stand up to scrutiny as the writer of Galatians did. He
knew He was doing the right thing so even though the yeast was sprinkled in the
bread of Life that he was teaching, people doubted because of it. Someone was
spreading stories and gossiping about him and he was able to stand up for the
truth because of it.
Lets take this example and use good to overcome the evil that is spoken
around us, let us be strong in His power and His might and speak the truth in
love, but get out of there!
Do not engage with lies, do not fight them over what was said just speak
the truth them leave them be. Allow God to deal with them. Keep your name clear
in Jesus’ eyes and in His name!
Heavenly Father, help us to keep ourselves upright before you and to be
ready to speak the truth to clarify but not stick around allowing ill seeds to
grow. In Jesus’ name, amen.
