No
Worries!
Trust in the
Lord and do good; dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness. Delight
yourself also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass.
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light and your justice as the
noon day. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of
him who prospers in his way. … don’t fret it only causes harm. Psalm 37:3-8
Are you
waiting on the Lord to find the answer for a need you have? Or maybe you are
waiting to see a promise fulfilled, but you see other people getting what you
want. Though we try hard sometimes we get all frustrated and annoyed over
people who we don’t think deserve to get things, getting them just the same.
Its easy to get jealous of someone who is serving God and getting blessed even,
I mean we want to be God’s favorite just like the disciples! They talked back and forth about who would
sit to his right hand in heaven as if it were the place of honor. Mark 10:36-38
shows you how he responded to the two men asking to sit by him. They had no
idea what the cost would be for them to do so; they just wanted to be special.
Little did they know they would be special, they would be responsible for some
of the writings that went into our Bible, and for bringing many lost to
salvation!
Sometimes we
forget the point that comes from this set of scripture, we are to trust the
Lord God with our lives, with our plans with our everything and then we are to
rest in Him. That means to wait for Him without stress, without jealousy or
envy but with knowing that when the time is right He will bring whatever it is
to pass. It is not for us to know when but to know Who will bring it to pass.
Let’s work
on resting in Him, throw away worry and strife, do not fret today! Trust in the Lord with all your heart!
Allow Him to
move, but wait patiently trusting Him to get it done!
Thank you
Lord for knowing the next step in our lives; help us to peacefully walk in Your
directions in Your guidance and in Your rest. Help us to know that You will
bring to us that which you have promised in Your time, In Jesus’ name amen.
