Get rid of that Bait! Let it go! In His Word 9-9-19

Dailies ~ in His Word
September 2019

This morning I awoke to “…Cast my cares on you, cast my cares on You… “
Image result for fishingI prayed to try to get rid of all my cares but I think sometimes that I am casting like a fly fisherman! I throw them out there only to reel them back in. Do you ever do that? The scripture says in the Living Bible translation to let Him have all your worries and cares… that means I leave them in His care.  It does not mean I can reel them in again! It’s as if the bait got away and it is not lost in the current of the mighty water of the Holy Spirit. Just because we let it go does not mean we will not struggle trying to gain the bait again!  The Word in 1 Peter 5 tells us we need to be careful because the enemy is still out there trying to bait us and get us worrying again. Struggling with the cares of this world is exactly what our enemy wants us doing because it keeps our eyes off the Lord! It makes us think we are wrong, that we can’t ever be good enough or that we are week and useless. But our God tells us something else! He says give it to Him! Humble ourselves and admit we cannot do it alone and let Him have it!

Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you. Be careful—watch out for attacks from Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for some victim to tear apart.  Stand firm when he attacks. Trust the Lord; and remember that other Christians all around the world are going through these sufferings too.  After you have suffered a little while, our God, who is full of kindness through Christ, will give you his eternal glory. He personally will come and pick you up, and set you firmly in place, and make you stronger than ever.  To him be all power over all things, forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:7-11

There’s a condition up there, we have to let Him have our worries and our cares; He won’t just steal them from us we have to give them up to Him, then trust Him to take care of us and our cares both! We may have  to suffer a bit, but he will personally come take care of us and put us in a safe place! We just have to trust Him to do it!
Heavenly Father, take our cares and help us to leave them with You today and not look back! Remove us from bad situations and bring us to the place You would have us be. I Jesus’ name, amen.
