“He
who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s
reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man
shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of
cold water in the name of a
disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”

During
our week of Vacation Bible Day Camp on location we are treated to many delicious
meals and excursions, some of which are hard hikes for us city folk; all are
adventures!
Through
all the excursions we enjoy nature and experience art, but the one thing we
find ourselves seeking is water. Water is essential to replenish our bodies
from all the fun activities of each day. The true Water is what we really need
to seek and find from our Father when we start and finish a day in the mission
of life! When we help we are given a place to stay as well as a place eat, good
fellowship and fun times. All of this gives us the chance to share Jesus with
scads of children and a few adults too! If we were not full up on the physical nourishment
we would not be physically strong enough to share the Gospel message with these
little children; in the same way if we are not full up on God and His goodness
via the Word we would not be strong enough spiritually to keep up a good
attitude and share God’s love with them.
Heavenly
Father, thank you for giving us Yourself to share with others in Your love, in
Your time and often in Your strength bless the little children as we give them
living water today, In Jesus’ name, amen.
