Dailies~ In His
Word
July 2019
Sometimes when you walk out your faith it means you fall
down… but you get right back up and continue on. Sometimes it is not a convenient
time to stop and take stock of what injuries you have attained as the enemy is
battling on another front and you have to keep going. Often times you end up with casualties that
are a result of pushing too far.
Think on that a few moments then continue on…
Then
Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the
door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not
hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved,
and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come
except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have
life, and that they may have it more
abundantly. John 10:7-10
The Shepherd continues on, He knows there are thieves trying
to trip us up and get us caught up in the cares of the word, such as worry,
stressful situations frustration at co workers or family members who do not do
what we want. All these can pull us out of our spot at altar or in the Holy of
Holies just when we want to be sitting at His feet; we allow ourselves to be
distracted by a skinned knee and it will pull our focus off of a potential
broken arm. We need to pay attention to
the call of God, not the call of man in our lives, our flesh says “I will
bleed!”, which will hurt but our bones can break and really change our walk,
where as a little cut will heal and we can continue on.
The shepherd sometimes has to compel us to see the big
picture instead and cleanses our small wounds for our protection against predators;
and pushes us out to continue on in the way in which He has sent us that we my
complete the task and not get caught up by the enemy who would be on our tail.
HE protects us and keeps us safe from the big things and potential enemy. We
can only be truly safe in His care and need to remember to listen or His voice
in the things we walk through to be sure we are in His will to be in our right
path.
Heavenly father, help me to find the right path, to be brave
and continue on until I reach the end, in Jesus’ name, amen.
