Dailies ~ In
His Word
July 18, 2019
As a parent I have found the
time we have to spend with our children is short, it may seem like all you can see
when they are small but as they grow and you grow old you realize time really
is little!
Just as Christ said to the
disciples that at a time they would look for Him and not find Him for a while
because He was heading off to heaven; sometimes we cannot reach out and hug our
children as they are miles and miles away.
If Go was walking with you
around town and then He said “oh my time is short I have to go, Ill be back but
for now you can love others as you love me okay?” How would you react?
Little children, yet a little while I am
with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye
cannot come; so now I say to you. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye
love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall
all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:33-36
Being His disciples is a
great thing, because it shows others that we are His and He is ours! We are
guilty of association! Associating with
Jesus the Lord God and through His Spirit we can love others as He has loved
us, and loves us! The question for today
is... Are you guilty of association? I
hope you are!
I hope I am! I hope I love
others as He loves me and not just as I feel like it at the time. I want to
feed others spiritually and help them out physically when I can! I want to be able to because of my
association with Him and other believers who can and do!
What about you? Take a Selah
moment here!
Heavenly Father, help me to
love others as You love them, Help me to feed them as You feed me, in Jesus’
name, amen
