Now him that is
weak in faith, take unto you: not in disputes about thoughts. Romans 14:1
As Christians we
are given a big responsibility, its hard taking that word in but it is the one
word that says what I mean. We are responsible to share Christ with others via
His love through us, His encouragement through us, and over all to keep peace
with those who become weak in their faith. Not everyone has the strong faith to
be healed, to be brave, but with God’s help as with a few close friends; all
thing are possible!
And when they could not offer him
unto him for the multitude, they uncovered the roof where he was; and opening
it, they let down the bed wherein the man sick of the palsy lay. And when Jesus had seen their faith, he saith to the sick
of the palsy: Son, thy sins are forgiven thee. Mark 2:4-5
Some people do not realize it is in
our hands to destroy someone’s faith or encourage it to grow, its all in our
actions and words. We need to allow some
people to make choices that may not be what we would choose until they reach
the point in their walk to make the right choices for God’s will. The friends
who brought the man to Jesus to be healed could not heal him themselves and
they could not walk for him once he was healed but they could bring him to
Jesus.
Heavenly Father, help us to
remember to lift up four friends to You,
and not to fix them ourselves. In Jesus’ name, amen.
