You never know who you will influence when you pass on by
them in life and though it may sound cliché life goes by so fast! You never know who you will influence in the place you are in whether it is a good place or tough spot. Live the life God has planted in your life the way He would want. Don't let it get you down!
Joseph was thrown into a pit to be sold to a pharaoh, to be sent
to a prison for a crime he never did. (In Genesis chapters 30-40 you can read
about it). While he was there he met a man who would eventually be the ones who
lead to his being set free and put as number two in the land of Egypt and
second only to Pharaoh himself. He would save the family and eventual Hebrew
children from famine because of that!
Today I heard of a man who had worked with a group of
people, and not seen them in years. Then out of the blue he ran into the person
who used to be his boss when he was in a totally different location, this boss
was his director of sorts. Still another person he ran into was the wife of the
person who had done the hiring interview. All of these people had come back
across his path throughout the years. It made me think of the different people
in the Bible who Jesus reached out to that went on to tell other people about
Him.
Then I thought, and I pondered it a bit… “How is it possible
in a world so full of people for other people to even remember us let alone
something we said?”
Then I realized it does not matter, the fact is people will
remember what we said years from now and we have to think about the fact that
our words can help to plant seeds of faith or seeds of failure. I choose faith!
This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to
affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to
maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men. Titus
3:8
Heavenly Father,
help us to keep and pass on the faith we have in You, in Jesus’ name.
