Dailies~ in His Word
June 2019

Do you know who you are in Christ?
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.  Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable. So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.    Hebrews 4:12-16
He knows who we are; we are an open book before our God.
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”  For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.     Romans 8: 14-16
We are His, if we follow His commands He will not only give us eternal life but peace that is beyond understanding during stressful and painful situations. He will heal us, whether in the physical or emotional, or spiritual healing; our God will be there for us.
He wants for us to just love one another, to do good, and to obey His commands. Which are pretty much that in a nutshell! As His children we are to do as He would have us do, and as He does. Then we can trust that as we come before Him with prayer and the back up of the Word of God knowing that He will hear and answer our prayers according to His time, His riches in glory, and He will be there for us today.
So what are you going to do today?  What did you do to be a child of God?  Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ! Then we read the Word and do the Word, in Christ we are made new! New children of God full of peace, joy and love!
Heavenly Father Help us to really get what it means to be Your children today, help us to love one another and share of Your goodness; in Jesus name, amen.
