Dailies ~ In His Word
June 2019
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.  Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all. Ephesians 4: 1-6

I know, I am going backward through this chapter of Ephesians; but it is where the Holy Spirit led me today. I keep coming back to the fact that we have been called by God, but that we should not be all puffed-up about it thinking how we are so perfect that God chose us! We should be humble, we should be kind, and we should know that we will suffer the same judgment that we give out.  We need to remember that we are a team, one team, for God! We are not ‘Full Gospel Bible Church vs. The Word of God Church, in a competition of who can get the most souls, or have the most seats in our pews or chairs. We need to remember that we are called together with the Lord. That we are all working toward the same thing; to be like Jesus in all that we do. Just think for a moment, if we all walk accordingly we will not only get along but we will all follow God to the right place, the right way.
It is not always easy to get along with people who do not go to your church, and sometimes it’s harder for those who do! Either way God wants us to love one another, and to remember that we are one in Jesus name.

Father God, help us to be one with You and not pick at other peoples churches or sermons, Help us to follow Your advice and nudges to do what You want us to do, in Jesus’ name, amen.
