Dailies – In His Word
May 25, 2019

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 10:12
We hear this a lot but how are we strong when we are weak? How can we stand when we feel like there is not an ounce of strength in our legs? We put on the Armor of God!

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,  and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;  praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— Ephesians 6: 10-19
There was a day, when my children were small that my friends and I would physically act out the putting on of our armor each day with them.  It was a good reminder of all that Christ did for us. That He created a way for us to be pure of heart and mind by studying the Word of God and praying. Trusting God to protect and provide all that we need. All we have to do is trust, have faith in God, and obey the directions He gives us in His Word.
Put on the whole armor of God it protects us from stinking thinking, speaking the wrong things, living a righteous life. Walking in the Spirit of peace. Its all there when we have our armor on. The Holy Spirit will always keep us close to His heart if we keep our eyes on Him.
Heavenly Father, thank you for the visual of the Armor of God, that protects and keeps us safe, help us to remember that You are with us in all that we do, in Jesus’ name , amen.
