Dailies ~April 2019

Dailies~ in His Word

April 3, 2019

As a writer for Christ I can have a lot to say or a little, but God speaks through the words when I give it up to Him. I could get all puffed up when someone asks me to sign a book; for a time I refused to sign them but then realized it was an opportunity to make a statement! I write a personal note that I can hope will reach the heart of the reader and give them the scripture I think will as well. Once I gave that to God I found signing to be an exciting and encouraging thing for myself as well. It was because I made it not about me just as my books are not about me.
Truth be told, I am not a good writer at all, I have issues, I have pride, and think I am not good enough. I am not; but God is!  If it were not for God being on my side I would not have written my first book! If it were not for God being on my side I would not have spoken in front of people at all! I will say it, I love speaking in front of people now! It is exciting to bring the Word of God to people and encourage them face to face! I also am terrified to speak in front of people; I mean this really, because it’s not me but God in me who speaks! Before I knew Jesus as my Lord I was pretty much shy, I tried to be the bubbly self my brother said I was but I was not myself in front of people; I was okay one on one but lead a group?  That took God! He changed me into the person I am today. I fail a lot, but I keep going. I fall but I get back up! I keep trying. We can get up and keep going because we can trust God to keep us going! Not as in ourselves but through Christ!
Trust the Lord with all your heart and don’t try to understand it all but accept that God is leading us down the path He has put before us!

And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.     2 Corinthians 3:4

I have to trust that God has a reason for this entire ramble today and that it will help someone this morning as I post it.
Heavenly Father, thank you for being the push behind us that encourages us to speak, to teach, to do whatever it is You have chosen for us to do, In Jesus name, amen.
