Dailies~in His
Word
March 2019
We seasoned Christians
need to be sure we are using God’s wisdom to live according to His Word; we
build on our faith to build up the ‘house’ of God. In this reference I do not
refer to the house as a physical structure that we meet for church but I mean
the body of Christ, for we believers, Christians, followers of Christ are the
house, or temple of God. In this we realize that His house is not a building
but a people. Christ being the foundation we being the many parts. Wood, nails,
screws, dry wall… we all work together to support those who come to know Him as
Lord and Savior as they to become a part of the structure.
And my speech and my
preaching were not with persuasive words of human
wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in
the power of God. However, we speak
wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the
rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the
wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God
ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the
rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not
have crucified the Lord of glory. 1 Corinthians 2:5-8
For we are God’s fellow
workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. According to the grace of God which was given to
me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another
builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay
than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians
3:9-11.
When we know who we are in
Christ and how He can place us I situations to be useful for the furtherance of
the kingdom and to support the cause for Christ we can see how important each
part in the church is. We all are needed, we all are useful for the furtherance
of the Kingdom of God if we just look, seek, and listen to God as He places us.
Today, let’s pray about how
to know where we belong. My place of worship has a class that explains some way
some ways to find out what your gifts are, but then it also helps you figure
out how to best use them for God’s glory a well! Seek God, ask Him what you are to do today!
Then be blessed as you walk forward in it!
Heavenly Father, thank you
that You have placed each of us in a body that is both physical and spiritual
and allowing us to be a part. Guide our paths and show us what steps to take to
become who you created us to be. In Jesus’ name, amen.
