Dailies ~ In
His Word
March 10 & 11,
2019
Sometimes we can find
ourselves being a little less ready to do what God asks and more likely to do
things ourselves, in our own way, on our time. I don’t know about you but these
times my God has a way of shaking things up and getting me back to where I was
supposed to be attitude or other wise with either circumstances or in His Word!
No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and
this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love
mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8
He has shown us to do what is
right, to love, and to walk right before God. It kind of reminds me of when a
child is told by their parent what to do and they ignore them or think they
know more than they do and bam! They fall down, skin a knee or something and
have to be lifted back up. This is where the love of mercy comes from! We learn
what it is like to feel the love that comes from the mercy of the person
picking us back up dusting us off and cleaning our wounds; then we walk humbly
knowing He was right! Or in the child’s eye, the parent was right.
Oh such humbleness that comes
with being wrong and realizing we should have listened! If we could just learn to heed those first
words before we step out in our own strength!
Let’s try and listen to Him
today and pay attention to the words He gives us.
In His love!
Dear Heavenly Father, help us
to follow your footsteps and be patient, to heed Your advice and walk humbly
giving grace and mercy to others and to do as You said, and remember there but
for the grace of God go we… in Jesus’ name, amen.
