Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come
your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance
has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your
endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
James 1:2-4
What do you do when things
start going bad? Do you complain and fuss or do you take a breath and figure
out how to fix things? What about when
things do not work out that way; what if you cannot fix things? What do you do?
I sometimes just cry, then remember that I have
a God who’s got my back.
Then
your light shall break forth like the morning. Your healing shall spring forth
speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Isaiah 58:
Remember that all of the
things we go through are character building things.
They cause us to grow
stronger in faith, and strength in adversity; we can gain wisdom as we grow
closer to God. In needing to call on Him we realize how greatly we need Him. That’s
a great thing! Its kind of funny but being needy in the way of needing God is a
good thing to be.
There is a reason for everything we go through, it teaches us how much we need Him in our lives consistently.
When we need Him, we spend
more time in His presence.
Think about it, and try to
spend time with Him when you are not in need today!
Let’s let God know how much
we need Him in the good times as well!
