Is the world getting
to you lately? Sometimes the news, politics and just plain rudeness of people
can drag us down into despair, if we let it.
We have been called to be separate and sanctified before God; but we
live in a world full of unruly desperate influences that try at any cost to
pull us away from Him and His influence or will. The good news is that we can renew our minds
as often as we like! We can pick up the Word of God, our Bibles, and read!
We can take time out
with God and empty the cares and worries around us into His bucket and allow
Him to refill ours with His Spirit! How awesome is it that we have a God who
can transform us from wearied and troubled into blessed and refreshed?
I call upon you, therefore, brethren, through the compassions of
God, to present your bodies a sacrifice -- living, sanctified, acceptable to
God -- your intelligent service; and be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind, for your proving what [is] the will of God -- the good,
and acceptable, and perfect. Romans 12: 1-2
Let us be refreshed today in His Word and in His presence and
become the people God intends us to be, walking in His acceptable perfect will
in all we do. In Jesus’ name!
Heavenly Father, help us walk in your will amongst the dangers and
rottenness in the world today. Help us to stay cleansed by Your Spirit within
us. Draw us nearer in Jesus name, amen.
