Dailies ~ In His Word
March 2019
Are you distracted by the noise
of the world?
Do you feel like just giving up? Don’t give up! Don’t do it, don’t give in,
like the song says “give it all to Him!”
How do we give our cares to the Lord? I mean its not like we can just walk up and hand
it to Him physically.
We can give our cares to Him by praying and
asking Him to take the burden of them away that we may give Him the glory of
doing so.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge
crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that
slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run
with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and
perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross,
disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s
throne. Think of all the hostility he
endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. Hebrew
12:1-3
When we change our focus we can then do the right thing and stay on top
of the issues by giving the burden, or problems to Jesus and asking Him to help
us resolve them, to make them work out okay and give Him the glory for it!
It is a matter of mind over will. Not over matter, but over will because
we choose to not accept the fear that comes with the distractions, or problems
of the world and to instead focus on the Word of God. If we fill our thoughts
with good things, such as the following scriptures and the one above.
Set your mind on things above not on the things of earth. Colossians 3:2
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by
prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made
known to God; and the peace of God, which
surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 And 8 too! Think on these things!
Heavenly Father, thank you for helping us to stay
calm in the midst of the distractions of the world we live in, help us to stay
focused on You, and whatever is good! In Jesus name, Amen.
