~In His Word
March
2019
Sometimes,
often times actually, God does things in a way we least expect Him to do them.
For
instance, when a church begins to grow strong and everyone loves one another
and everyone is taught so much what to do in the way of bringing other people
to know Him; and they become so skilled in where to go and what to do. Often
times God will tell them to get moving and get out of Dodge! You know, there are people praying for a need
in their tiny church to be filled, will you go?
There was
a man by the name of Paul who had to go to prison, be shipwrecked and more just
so he would get to stand before the head of his country and talk about Jesus.
Would he have had that chance if things had not gone so apparently wrong?
Probably not!
“And He said to them, “Go into all the world
and preach the gospel to every creation. “
Mark
16:15-16
For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a
few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good
for us, so that we might share in his holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But
afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are
trained in this way. So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak
knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet
so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong. Hebrews
12:10-13
Heavenly Father, help us
to be open to your direction and path to follow and to be open to your plan
over ours. Let us be open to change. In Jesus name, amen.
