Dailies~ In
His Word

Did you ever
wonder why some people who claim to be Christians don’t behave the way the
Bible says? Maybe it has to do with the fact that they are not on the same
level of their walk as you; though they are zealous for God’s plan they don’t
know how to forge the trail that God has put before them.
Even Paul was
guilty of this, well Saul at that point; he thought killing the Christians was
the righteous thing to do until he met Jesus.
So even if
they are excited about the whole ‘being a Christian’ thing they may not know how
to follow Him. Our job is to help them dig in the Word of God and decipher it
so they can understand what righteousness really is.
…for I bear them testimony that they have a zeal
of God, but not according to knowledge, for not knowing the righteousness of God, and their own righteousness
seeking to establish, to the righteousness of God they did not submit. Romans 10:1-3
Once they know who Jesus is they need
to still learn to submit to Him. Some people do not realize why we do this but
being a Christian is not just about saying I believe, it is about living it
daily, in and out of trouble, in and out of joyful situations. In good times
and bad we need to obey what God has for us to obey. To be right with God at
all times, by prayer, confessing to God not just man when we do something that
needs forgiveness. Making sure to the best of our abilities we are doing what
God’s Word says to do. Without rebellion, but with submissive hearts toward God we can do what He asks, in Jesus name.
Heavenly Father, help us to do Your
will in our lives, help us understand what righteousness really is in You. In
Jesus name, amen.
