Dailies -In His Word

Day 5                             

Today I was reading in a few places and the idea to seek the Lord while He may be found came to mind. So many of the prophets in the Word sought the God of Jacob to get advice, direction and to know what to tell people. A lot of times they just got the wisdom sent to them but sometimes, like with Jonah and a few others they had not good news to give out. We are blessed today with the option to seek Jesus daily and get into the Word of God. To think on what we read as we go about our daily lives and contemplate what it means to our existence. What are you going to do with the Word of God you read today?

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.

Let the whole world know what he has done.

Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the Lord.
Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him. Psalm105:1-4

Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!
Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth, 1 Chronicles 16:10-12

God set it up for us to seek Him, He gave us the wisdom to know we are not able to do everything alone. Those of us with ears to hear and eyes to see, as it says in Mark 4, need to sit up and take note. We need to pay attention to what’s in the Word of God and put it into action. As my pastor’s wife says “Do the Word”.

Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the Lord who does all these things.’ Acts 15:16-18

Lord, bless those who seek, hear and act upon Your Words. In Jesus name Amen.
