Dailies -In His
Word
Day 4
I often find it exhilarating to take some time in the book
of Psalms early in the morning. It can overcome a night of restless sleep and
give me a new look on my day.
Praise the Lord!
For it is good to sing praises to our God;
For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.
The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
He gathers together the outcasts
of Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
And binds up their wounds.
He counts the number of the stars;
He calls them all by name.
He calls them all by name.
Great is our
Lord, and mighty in power;
His understanding is infinite.
His understanding is infinite.
The Lord lifts up the humble;
He casts the wicked down to the ground.
He casts the wicked down to the ground.
Psalm 147:1-6
Reflecting on the beautiful power
and love of God is a great way to start your day, any day really. It can give
us a different look on life at the moment because it reminds us that God has
been through this with the people of the Bible Times eras and He can help us
through things again. It is encouraging to the humble as well as the proud, but
sometimes it puts the latter in their place when needed. I love the reminder
that even when we feel we are alone God can come through and encourage us that
things are going to get better, in His Word.
Who else can remind us that they
can fix our wounds, and heal us, give us reason to praise Him? Another great
read in Philippians 4:18-20 encourages us that we have what we need according
to what God thinks we need…
Indeed I have all and
abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling
aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. And my God shall
supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now to our God
and Father be glory forever and
ever. Amen.
.Be Blessed today as you praise Him, Teresa M. Wilson
