Dailies In His Word
Day 6
“As
the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide
in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will
abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His
love.” “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain
in you, and that your joy may be
full. This is My commandment, that you love one another
as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than
to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:9-13
The Word is pretty
basic today. God loves you, and me. He gave us life, love, and other mysteries
and the 6th day is when he created man.
He went through
so much with man, they had a love, love relationship then they became disobedient
to God’s direct commands. They did this over and over again through out
history. Still, God loves us, and loves us enough to die on the cross for us.
Does that just beat all? I mean, I think that it will never stop amazing me how
much God loves us. The entire world He created and continues to create for us
to live a life pleasing and acceptable to Him while being full of joy, it
amazes me! Still we humans are such an emotionally unstable creation and we
have temper tantrums randomly over the silliest things and yet, He loves us.
He said in John
15, that if we want our joy to be full we just have to love one another just as
He loves us; unconditionally.
Of course for
most of us we can only do a drop in a bucket in that scenario, unconditional is
a difficult thing to follow up on. Still if we try, He will help us, because He
loves us.
Think on this
today, how much does God show His love for you personally? Start with Jesus on the cross and begin
thanking Him today.
Dear Heavenly
Father… thank you for everything!
