Dailies ~ In His Word
Day25
We come to know the
Lord for real when we admit to Him that we have done wrong. The fact that we
are human determines that we all have sinned and fallen short, but so many of
us do not realize this right away.
Growing up I tried to
be good. I tried not to lie, I loved everyone “except the bad guys” and even
made up a song to sing about it! Still I rebelled against the fact that I had
no control over my own life. Even in my rebellion I tried to be ‘the good girl’.
Then one day, long story really short, I realized I needed Jesus in my life and
so I had to fess up and be brave.
I
said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me!
All my guilt is gone.
Interlude (*Selah) Therefore,
let all the godly pray to you while there is still time, that they may not
drown in the floodwaters of judgment. For you are my hiding
place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with
songs of victory. Interlude*
The Lord says, “I will
guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you. Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.” Psalm 32:5-9
I will advise you and watch over you. Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.” Psalm 32:5-9
I
think it is safe to say that is the bones of most of our ‘Salvation Messages.’
We
realize, we repent, and we are renewed by Christ through God’s Grace we are
cleansed.
There
are many who say they will get right with God when they get a round to it,
still others say they will go to church ‘some day’. Well, someday is not
promised, and the best advice I heard lately is that life is too short for
someday! Take the time right now to
examine yourself and pray. Ask God for forgiveness from whatever and bask in
His goodness! ‘Cause only God is good!
Heavenly
Father, help us to walk down the path you put before us and help us to let you
carry our loads. In Jesus Name, help us be brave, amen.
