Dailies in His Word
Day 17
Where do you find your inspiration each day? Whether it is for the days beginning
to be a good one, or in the bottom of a pit while you wait for something better
can you find inspiration anywhere but—in His Word?
I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there?
My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!
He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will
not slumber. Indeed,
he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at
night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over
your life.
The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and
forever.
Psalm 121:1-8 NLT
My dear friend reminded me one
day, that I had told her of an idea in our days of younger children. The idea
and practice I had that when I would do the dishes I would look out to the
hills and remember this verse and my blessings. It gave me a scope of
inspiration in my day! Now whenever I look out my front window I see the
rolling usually golden hills and rejoice! My God has my back, He has formed the
path before me and made it straight He knows just what I am in the middle of
and where I am looking, He loves me and He will continually watch over me both
now and forever more!
My inspiration comes from my God
who made those hills, or mountains to look to and recall “where does my help
come from?” The Maker of the heavens and the earth is calling to you… look to
the Hills to your help today!
Heavenly Father, thank you for
being our help, and our inspiration today! In all we do, You do. In Jesus name,
amen
