Step aside today from the things you are busy doing and Consecrate yourself before the Lord today.
Consecrate yourself before the Lord. Matthew 7:35
Let God cleanse us from all the bad, or wrong things in life and allow Him to make your heart right with Him. Then don't go back! Don't even look back as the way that things were are not the way they should be. God has a plan so we truly must do as Paul says lay it all to the side, let go of it.
Put aside the things that hindered you, then press on forward to the prize. The prize being Jesus and a life with Him.
Remain in Him.
If you remain in me and my Word remains in you then you may ask what you will and it wil be done unto you .
Consecration is not easy, Jesus went into the wilderness for 40 days pulling himself aside and consecrated Himself before the Lord God, His Father. Think on that a moment.
God the Son took time away by Himself, with Himself. As I am writing this I sit staring out a window at the massness of the ocean before me. To set myself aside even in a room full of people is possible when I set my mind on Him.
Set your mind on things above…
Therefore since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above where Christ is seatd at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above and not on earthly things. Colossians 3:12
When we pull ourselves away from the cares of the world we live in, the comotions around us and all of the things that could destract us and put our mind in the Word of God, and His wisdom, his creation, His directions then we will no longer feel the pull.
The thing we have to remember is to stay focused on His truth. The enemy, or the antichrist is out there seeking whom he may devour but that should not be a concern to us Christians, other than it means we need to reach out to other people and pull them into the fold of safety. Our job is to keep our mind on Him then let Him fill our cup.
Our cup being full of the Spirit which fills our cup of truth, love, hope, joy, we have peace. But we have it all in such an abundance that we should have it overflowing and pouring out unto he world around us. We do not think about it but there are empty cups every where around us if we just look.
Steps
1 Concecrate Joshua 3:5, 1 John 2:15-17
2In the process we get rid of the things that bind us . Romans 16:17
3 Focus on God and allow Him to fill our cup with His Spirit.
4 Now we can fill other peoples cups. As ours overflows we need to over flow into other people who are there holding out their empty cups in need.
Will you be a cup filler or a cup drainer?
Okay back to the ocean… it is vast! Think of it as the HolySpirit. There is so much to not just fill one cup, but all the cups and yet, because He has consecrated you to Him for His purpose * as the scripture says, then we must lift our cups up to be vesels osf His spirit.
We pour our cup out and yet ours never become empty! How is that? How can we empty ours into another and still have a full cup?
His Spirit, like the ocean contiues eternally in and through us. It won't run dry and as long as we do not hold back our portion like a hoarder but insteal allow it to spill out onto others we will not quench the Holy Spirit! Quench not the Spirit. Despise not propheseyings. Prove all things; hod fast that which is good.m Abstain from all apearance of evil. And the very God of peace with sanctify you holy; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Thessalonians 5:19-23
Do not be afraid, God is with you.
You can do this each day if you get in the Word, read, pray, repeat! Do not forget that God has a purpose for your life, not just to live it but also to live it in a way that will draw others to Him. Our God wants us to draw close to Him to get that cup filled daily, and as we read the Bible and injest the Word adding it to the application of our lives then we wont have to just say Lord fill my cup but w will know He is already doing so as you rise up to read and pray each day. You will feel and sence the difference in your attitude, your directions and you life in general.
So what are you going to do today? Consecrate yourself in Word by reading and praying
Take that cup full, and pour it out into others.
Then return to it realize how much more there is… like those toy kept refilling themselces? bottles they used ot have that never really empties but continualy refills just keep focused in that Word and it keeps you full to fill others lives and draw then do it again on.
