What are you gonna do? Pray! In His Word 1-18-2026

What are you going to do? Just Pray!

There are so many days to pray, basically a whole life ahead of us! So why do we worry or stress if e forget to pray? Why do we feel condemned when the Word of God says there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus? (Romans8:1)What about when we feel like God has not heard our prayers because the answers are not happening the way we wanted them to? What are we going to do?

Well, for starters, do not stop praying! Don't become lazy in your prayer life after this month of prayers! Keep it going! You can do it! If you get busy and or tired and forget that is one thing but if you cannot even say "Good morning Lord, thank you for today..." then you have become lazy. Be honest with yourself.

Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone. See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people. 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15

Are you timid or lazy? Is your prayer life wavering because you think you do not pray powerful outspoken prayers that measure up with other peoples prayers when you pray in a group? Forget that! don't let it get to you. God looks for the honest and sincere prayer from heart to heart remember?  You do not have to pray out loud,  you can pray a quiet prayer, or a silent to people but audible to God, prayer. (Matthew 6:4-7)

Maybe you just can't think about what to pray about, or who to pray for?

Everyone and everything. That is my answer, at times that I cannot focus on one certain prayer need I pick a person, and another and another and ask God to bless them to open their eyes and ears and to do His will in their lives. I pray for sunshine, and rain, parking places and seating spaces. There is no end to things that you can pray for, just say whatever comes to mind.

Most of all, get happy about the opportunity to pray each day. Start with thanks, then go on from there.

Always be joyful.  Never stop praying.  Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. Do not scoff at prophecies, but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil. Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful. Dear brothers and sisters, pray for us. 1Thessalonians 5:16-25

Pray for strength, for ease of walking, for the power of the Holy Spirit to guide you in your prayer life.

Just pray, in Jesus' name.

Heavenly Father, thank you for taking this time to hear our prayers. Grant us the answers that we request and help us wait on You to bring it in Your time and according to Your will and plan for us, in Jesus' name...
