There is no way to know... Pray anyway... 1-21-2026

Pray anyway

Though you may hurt,

Or feel lost in your way,

Humble yourself and;

Pray anyway.

The future may scare you

It's darkness too dark

You may find your self living

in a city park

If time and your story

Do not seem to fit

When fear knocks you down

and your Faith takes a hit

Don't you stop, no don't do it!

If you quit , He's still there

He will keep you right through it

If you don't want to care

Pray anyway

There is no way for us to know what will happen today ,we can play our ways but the Lord directs our steps. Proverbs 16:9

When I awoke to a song of the Lord being our provider and His grace being sufficient for me I had no idea if my day would need this or not. I know these two sets of scripture were important for some reason and as I read in my my random green notebook randomly because I just picked it up to use as a note sheet and pulling a page out was my plan. but in this book was more wisdom for my day personally than just these verses.

I prayed for God to give me guidance and that is what I found in my personal notes to a pastoral sermon from 6 years ago that hit right where I was this morning. Every note every point of the sermon met my needs today, thank you Pastor Joe Skiles for preaching it! Today as I read the notes I found answers to guidance and other important things that I had needed them met my needs also of today. As my friend mentioned God gives us these promises and notes and when we keep them, like Mary hiding things about her son Jesus in her heart that God had done, we should also hide them in our heart.

There may be a day when you are in pieces, shattered from a storm or a death in your life that shakes you like an earthquake shakes the ground. God wants us to know that even in the most horrible times He is with us to comfort us. This is why Jesus said the Comforter would come to us and He would never leave us. He knew there would be times initially for the Apostles who were about to have their world changed completely as He ascended to the heavens, and also for us today. No matter what it is that is shaking your world today, God is with you. He really is!

Israel had strayed away from God and horrible things happened, yet them repented and came back. God honored this humbleness and brought them out of the disasters they were in they said to Him that He was their refuge. He is our refuge too!

He says be still and know that I am God. It may be hard to be still in the chaos or turmoil of the moment but the more that we seek Him and His presence the more we will have hope for tomorrow, and even a desire to be here tomorrow sometimes. Just know He is waiting for you to reach out to Him today and pray.

“Come, let us return to the LordHe has torn us to pieces; now he will heal us. He has injured us; now he will bandage our wounds. In just a short time he will restore us, so that we may live in His presence. Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.” Hosea 6:1-3

A song of the descendants of Korah, to be sung by soprano voices.

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude (stop and think about it)

A river brings joy to the city of our God, the sacred home of the Most High. God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed. From the very break of day, God will protect it. The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble!

God’s voice thunders, and the earth melts! The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us;    the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude

Come, see the glorious works of the Lord: see how he brings destruction upon the world. He causes wars to end throughout the earth. He breaks the bow and snaps the spear; He burns the shields with fire.

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”

The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us;  the God of Israel is our fortress.

Psalm 46

When I read these scriptures, I was grateful that I did not have chaos, but that I needed to remember that He was my refuge, that He was in charge of my life and would walk me through my struggles of the day, no matter how small in comparison to those in the Word, and maybe your  life today. I know He wanted these verses up in todays blog so I am being obedient and I trust they will reach out to someone out there, in Jesus' name.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your guidance, Your forgiveness, and Your being our fortress and a place to hide  our hearts and be protected. Help us to continue to honor You no matter what we have to walk through and help us to share how you brought us through some day. In Jesus' name
