Strength in Prayer~ In His Word 1-8-2025

Here we go its the 8th! We have been praying together for 7 days plus now! This is when the struggle happens. We either have caught the habit or we are struggling because we are so tired we don't want to get up and pray.

This morning as I was waiting to charge my computer I had to close my eyes. I knew what I would write about and the prayer focus but then I needed just a few more eyes closed moments. I thought on the Word, and I expected to sleep, but I found myself silently worshiping in song as I saw visions of life in and out of dream state. It was relaxing and enjoyable as I thought of how wonderful it was to worship Him.  What a blessing it is to be able to pray to a God is will listen to our prayers, our songs of worship, even if we merely think prayer or song. No one else has to be listening, just us and God! Individual prayer is so wonderful!

Sometimes it can be tiring though, we pray, and pray waiting for the answer to come. Stuff can happen to disturb our focus, but if we keep on praying and trust God, really trust God, then the answer will come. In the mean time we can be ready!

We can be ready to help others pray, ad encourage them to wait on the Lord, as we know when we wait on the Lord we find fullness of joy!

Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalm 27:13-14

Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:30-31

Isaiah 40: Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them.  Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep.  Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all! Romans 12:12-16

Let us rejoice today as we wait on the Lord for what we seek! Let us trust Him to answer, to show us the way or to heal us, as He strengthens our resolve to pray!

Heavenly Father, thank you for listening to our heartfelt prayers today. Give us the resolve to keep praying every day! Help us to keep that communication and encouragement that we receive from you. We trust You Lord to guide us through our days in Jesus' name...
