Pray Everyday 1-2-2025 Read, Pray , Repeat!
Jesus said this while encouraging His disciples and those listening around Him to be wise...
“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. Matthew 7:24-26
Be a faithful servant. pray daily, in the moments when you feel the prompting as well as first thing. Even if there is a pile of work to do, pray first or during! Did you k now you could pray as you work? You can worship as you work too! The best prayers are when you take a moment to bow down before Him, to draw near to the Spirit of the Lord and bask in His presence, allow His Word to marinate in your soul and mind and listen to His voice directing your path. Accept that He is calling you to prayer today! Get focused, get ready, get powered up! It all comes in prayer!
Sometimes I get up and see the things to do in my day... its easy to get distracted with stuff, but then I remember that I cannot do it alone, my spirit man will falter I will feel weak and get grumpy if I do not get in prayer and worship first! Its more important than a physical work out! It is the power for your day! Better than a cup of coffee! Get that prayer time in! Get close to Him! Touch the hem of His garment, before you get up and do the rest of the 'stuff' in your day! Read, pray, repeat!
“So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. Understand this: If a homeowner knew exactly when a burglar was coming, he would keep watch and not permit his house to be broken into. You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected. “A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them. If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward. Mathew 24:43-46
As we wake up Lord draw us near to you. Help us to focus on Your Word and not get caught up in the cres of this world as we do them. Whether it be dishes or data entry we pray that your bless our minds, oru hands and our feet to do the work you have put before us with a mind of Christ.
Help us Lord to keep the peace, hope, and love flowing through our day. Help us to trust You to bring us through any storms, piles of paperwork, or dust and trash to pick up with a spring in our step and a joyful disposition that will cause others to want to draw nearer to You in Your Holy presence.
